Some of the most extraordinary collections of antiquities that have come down to us are exhibited in these rooms: the collection of gems and Farnese sculptures, the finds from the Vesuvian area coming mainly from Herculaneum and Pompeii (frescoes, mosaics, statues, jewels, precious objects or of common use), the Secret Cabinet with works and "obscene" objects that document the ancient costumes in terms of eroticism, the new display of the Egyptian collection. Collections of exceptional importance that make the MANN one of the most interesting archaeological museums in the world and the most relevant as regards the history of the Roman era.

We will have the chance to admire the Farnese Collection (with particular attention to Hercules, the Bull and the Farnese Cup), the collection of mosaics from Pompeii (mosaic of Alexander the Great and works of the House of the Faun), the Secret Cabinet, the Villa of the Papyri of Herculaneum, Daily Life, the Model of Pompeii and portraits.
