The eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD has preserved ancient Pompeii, for over a millennium and a half, under a mantle of pyroclastic deposits. A spectacle that is unique in the world presents itself to us: an entire Roman city that preserves moving traces of humanity in its places of worship, markets, theatres, spas, homes and shops. After dedicating our morning to visiting the archaeological excavations, we head towards Vesuvius (1,281 m.) To conquer its summit and walk on the edge of its crater. From up there we will look inside its gigantic still smoking mouth and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples.

ITINERARY

Meeting with the guide in Pompeii and 2-hour archaeological walking tour that includes a visit to the forum, markets, plaster casts of people's bodies, spas, brothels, theatres, shops and private houses with mosaics and frescoes. Transfer to Vesuvius by private means of transport up to an altitude of 1,000 m. and ascent on foot to the Gran Cono. You follow the entire path that runs along the mouth of the volcano from which you can see the internal fumaroles and enjoy an impressive view of the coastal strip.
